Feeding method of punch press
There are many feeding methods for punch machines. Most of the materials used in stamping production are sheets, cut materials, strips and blocks of various specifications.
Sheet metal is a widely used material in punch stamping production and is suitable for mass production. The specifications are in accordance with the national standards. The use of standard sheet materials may increase the tail material and reduce the material utilization rate. However, if effective nesting and layout are adopted, this shortcoming can be made up for. In many productions, you can also use the best layout plan to clarify the specifications according to the process regulations, and order them professionally from the steel mill. This can increase the utilization rate of materials, but the price will be slightly higher than the standard specification. During production, the sheets must also be cut into various strips or blocks according to process specifications and then stamped.
Cutting materials (pipe materials) are used in many productions of high-precision punch machines. The width of the cut material is generally less than 200mm. Depending on the material, there are different width specifications, ranging from several meters to tens of meters in length, and some thin materials are hundreds of meters long. The high-speed punch machine uses only pipe materials for stamping. The high-speed punch machine is equipped with an automatic feeder and does not require manual feeding.
The block material is suitable for the stamping of small batches of parts and expensive non-ferrous metals.
The strips are cut from sheet metal according to the needs of stamping parts. Used for stamping of small and medium-sized parts.
The feeding methods of the punch machine include manual feeding, automatic feeding and semi-automatic feeding. The appropriate feeding method should be selected from the comprehensive consideration of production efficiency, production cost, convenient operation and safety.
Generally, manual feeding has high labor intensity and low production efficiency, but it is low-cost. Low-speed punch machines are suitable for small batch production. Automatic or semi-automatic feeding is mostly used for large, medium and large batch production of high-precision punch machines and multi-process continuous mold production. When automatic or semi-automatic feeding equipment (machine equipment) is available, even for small batch production, choosing automatic or semi-automatic feeding can not only improve production efficiency, reduce labor intensity, but also contribute to safe production.
